New for the 2023 US Holiday Schedule: Juneteenth and Veterans Day (observed) are considered “floating” holidays and employees may pick one of these two floating holidays to take during the year. This should be tracked at the unit/department level and submitted accordingly to Payroll to ensure no more than a maximum of Ten (10) holidays are submitted for an employee during the year. Of course, the choice between these two floating holidays must also take into consideration the business needs of your unit/department.
